
Chef Jason Cichonski is the owner of Hemlock Events and the chef-owner behind three acclaimed concepts: the revived, members-only Messina Social Club in South Philadelphia; Tulip Pasta & Wine Bar in Fishtown; and Black Cactus in Avalon, New Jersey. At Hemlock Events, Jason brings the same standards that define his restaurants—seasonal, technique-driven cooking, thoughtful hospitality, and polished execution—to weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations of every size.
A fixture in Philadelphia’s dining scene, Jason became executive chef at Lacroix at The Rittenhouse at just 24 before opening Ela in 2011 to strong critical praise, including “Best of Philly” for New American and a Philly Cooks award. He later reached a national audience on Bravo’s Top Chef (Season 11).
